The Donald and The Spawn of The Donald, sons Don and Eric and his daughter Ivanka, are in Co Clare this week as The Eagle has already reported. Irish Pride and the sense of self worth in the Republic of Éire is still recovering from their craven and obsequious welcome as Saviours of the Nation at Shannon Airport. The US tycoon touched down in his private Boeing 757 early yesterday to check out the west coast golf course he picked up for a bargain price back in February. If you’re around Shannon Airport, you can’t miss it. It’s the one with ‘TRUMP’ emblazoned on the side in gold lettering.
The outspoken billionaire bought the plane three years ago from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen for around €100 million. It’s since been given a Donald-style makeover — which involves a lot of gold plating to ensure it meets The Donald’s vulgar standards. The custom designed jet has room for 43 passengers, a private bedroom with an ensuite and can travel up to 16 hours at 500 mph. It is good to see a man who believes in making it for himself with his family who fought so hard for their “Executive” positions in the Trump Organisation. The Donald inherited his father’s property empire which gave him a bit of a head start.
The American Apprentice’s Amanda Miller gives us a tour of Mr. Trump’s 757. She seems a nice genuine girl, a bit like her shy counterparts on the UK copy cat show presented by Lord Potato Head aka Lord Shugah.
Today, powered by its readers and contributors, from its cyber eyries in Ireland and the centres of the Irish Diaspora The Eagle casts its Cold Eye on Life and Death and much in between.
